Read - A - Thon
Many students (and their teacher!) participated in Pajama Day today. We had a Read-A-Thon from 8 - 9.
There will be a Vocabulary Test on the 27th. The students were given the words today.
On Monday I taped a blue envelope with some special instructions inside of it. Please send the envelope and note for your child back on Monday.

Way to go Math-A-Thon participants!!
I'm soooooo proud of my Math-A-Thon participants! Our class had the most participants for fourth grade and I have the most from 4th grade going to the Math Celebration on Friday. A big and humongous thank you to: Brock, Stephen, Zuzi, Kennedy, Jessie, Davan, Wesley, Tyler, Cami, Alyssa, Josh, Mackenzie R, Mackenzie S, Justin, and Lucy for raising $650!!!! I love your generous heart. :)) The children at St. Jude will be so grateful.
Friday will be Pajama Day. Students may bring $1 and may wear their pajamas and slippers. We will also have a Read-A-Thon from 8 - 9 with our buddies in Mrs. Tinker's 1st grade classroom.
Spring Picture $$ is due on Friday, April 27th.
The last day to take an AR test to qualify for Splash Day is may 11th. After May 11th, students may still take AR tests to qualify to Free Dress.
Our 4th grade Award's Day is May 29th from 9:45 - 11:15. Please mark your calendars and make plans to attend.

The Amazing Race
The students had a fun time yesterday solving math problems with a partner. The teams used iPads to scan math problems. They then took the iPad to a spot in the room to work out the problems. Students could not move on to the next level until the set of problems was correct. Josh and Stephen worked so well together and showed great teamwork. They were the winners of our Math Amazing Race! This was a different and exciting way to review for our Math Staar test.
